I have a new horse. I call him Chocolate and sometimes Fudge, but his stable name is Brownie. His registered name is "His Royal Majesty." He is a thoroughbred. Thoroughbreds are used as race horses. Steve compared a thoroughbred to a Ferrari. As a race horse he was pampered, trained, and worked very hard. He won $35,361. But he neglected to save for his old age.
Because of his lack of planing, he's had several careers. He was also a dressage horse. That means a well-trained rider can make him dance.
Unfortunately, I am not yet as well-trained as he would like. But I am learning because he is now what is called "a trainer horse." Instead of me training Brownie, he is training me to give the correct cues. Soon we hope to be dancing together.

He was given to me by a lady that couldn't keep him anymore. He considers himself a herd leader. Unfortunately, another horse in his stable was also a herd leader. They fought terribly and Brownie lost. He was kicked and bitten so badly that he stopped eating for a while and lost weight.
Luckily, I needed a horse. He's a good boy. He's very eager to please. He does what you ask when you ask correctly. And when you don't, he tries to figure out what you want. He's also a cuddle-bunny. When he needs a hug, he lowers his head and nuzzles until he gets the attention he wants.
But the best thing about Brownie is that, when the weather is good, my grandchildren and I can ride him whenever we want.
